I'm still using HSBC.

Although HSBC yields 5.05%, I am still using it because the other competitors are yielding about .10-.25% higher. This is not enough to warrent chasing the competitors rate because the lost of interest in moving my money would take me 2 + months to make up the interest lost.

I like HSBC because it gives the user the ability to link many other bank accounts. This makes it easier to pay bills or transfer money. I also link my HSBC money to my MB Trading brokerage. I find this very convenient.

I still have money in Virtual bank which yields 4.6%. I plan on moving that money soon. It is worth moving money when the spread is about .5%.

Amboy Direct is now yielding 5.15% APR

Online savings account Amboy Direct currently raised its rate to 5.15%.

Or you can sign up with their eSavings account which yields 4.28% for their $50 bonus. Just sign up through at http://www.amboydirect.com/AmboySavings.html and click on the banner at the top.

I have not signed yet signed up for the bonus, but I think I will soon. I need to deposit $3,000 for 3 months to earn the $50, then close the account after. Amboy Direct is staying competitive with other online savings account such as Citibank(5%), HSBC (5.05%) and Emigrant Direct (5.15%).
